Fall Cleanup In Full Swing
Mood:  cheeky
Well as usual, I don't get much into this journal in the summer. It is now fall and the leaves are turning. It is still warm, but getting a real nip in the air. My front garden has gone amok this summer, getting too crowded and weedy. Too little time for everything. I finally got all of my irises divided. I am now working on renovating the front. I am taking out the nice barberry because it got too big for the space and skewered me every time I walked by. I am opening up that area and putting in a path and beds for smaller plants. I am moving several other things around. I did few vegetables this year (tomatoes and red runner beans). I left my veggie beds for flowers. I put my dahlias back there and they are blooming beautifully. I need to thin the strawberry bed...it is all runners now, and weed. Several bags full of weeds.
